The idea of movement – specifically breakdancing – as cultural coding is pretty interesting.
I need to think about this more. But in the meantime, it’s really cool to see how breakdancing has become a semantic workspace for movement systems of all kinds.
I would argue that this open-source, emergent cultural workspace is very much the backbone of good hip hop (and good cultural production in general).
